I had doubts about purchasing this item because it appeared flimsy. While it is not flimsy it is of better quality than I have assumed. The picture quality is great, I have received multiple positive comments. This camera is truly plugged and play. Don't hesitate to purchase this item.

My laptops internal mic and camera stopped working suddenly, and it seemed it was a problem with Dell that they weren't fixing anytime soon. My options were buy a Webcam or get a new laptop, so I decided on the Webcam. I was so relieved when it worked. The picture is very clear and I got a compliment on how crisp my mic was. I also like how it comes with the privacy cover as well.

I loved the ease of installation on top of my monitor. Once the USB is plugged in the software installs automatically. Although I have never used a webcam that was separate from a laptop before, I was able to install in seconds and record a video within a few minutes!
In spite of the small size of the camera, the video area when aimed at me sitting in front of the monitor includes the entire room behind me.
My only two wishes would be an easy way to adjust the filter (it looks very yellow overall with my indoor lighting) and it would've been great if the camera swiveled left and right in addition to up and down (although I can always remove the camera and position it facing any direction while on the tripod included).
