I am again impressed how technology has advanced. My old hard drive is 4 times as big and probably 8 times as heavy with half the storage... Bought for a Mac, works just fine.

Item is great to use for extra PS5 storage for your PS4. Please note than when I originally attempted to use this on the PS5 an error would pop up and say the PS5 could not format this device for xyz... I decided to give plugging into my PS4 a shot and formatting it on there first. I formatted the drive as extended storage on the PS4 and then plugged into the PS5 and it worked right away. Downloading all of my games onto it now.

SSD drives are becoming cheaper, but if they're not written onto for a long period of time, they can lose their data. I'm unsure how common that is, but SSD is nice because there are no mechanical parts for failure and truly shock resistant.

I have an OG XBOXONE with a 500g drive which means like 3 games at any given time. I got this so I could have some selection and not get capacity anxiety. Once hooked up, the Xbox sees it, asks you how you want to use it, and then has it ready within minutes. I set this as my preferred installation location and have all my games on it.
