I got this IVETTO 3.0 USB hub to replace a different brand hub that had just started to give me problems. I have the IVETTO USB hub connected to one of my laptops 3.0 USB ports and then have several devices connected to the IVETTO hub, including external hard drives and a wireless mouse. I use the remaining USB ports to plug in thumb drives or whatever else I want to plug into it. I am also using one of the ports to charge a USB hand held intercom, so instead of using the supplied data cable that came with the IVETTO, I just used a data/charging cable I had laying around instead and it works perfectly. Not all my external hard drives are 3.0 USB but this hub is backward compatible to 2.0 USB so no issues there. Finally, I like the LED lights that let you know if the port is active and the ability to activate/deactivate the port with the flick of a switch. Great product at a great price!

This hub plugs into a USB 3.0 port in your computer and supplies seven additional connections at USB 3.0. This is extremely convenient today when everything seems to connect to USB. You can connect printers, scanners, drawing tablets, keyboards, mice, Wi-Fi dongles and even monitors to USB 3.0. The only downside is that the description says that it does not allow charging over USB, presumably because there is insufficient voltage and amperage in the USB 3.0 specification to allow charging seven units. However, right next to where you plug in the USB cable with a proprietary connector, the hub has a barrel connector for a power supply. I suspect that if a sufficiently well matched power supply is plugged in there you can probably charge off of this as well. It is my guess that it was a pricing decision by the seller not to include such a power supply as they are expensive. I'm certainly going to be testing it out. However, even without the power supply it is very convenient to have a data connection at USB 3.0 speed, and this provides seven of them. Each connection is separately switched, she can turn it on and off without disconnecting from the hub. A really nice feature of the hub is that each individual socket close blue when it's turned on and read when it's turned off see don't have to guess.

This is great as each port has its own switch to turn them on and off. The device is small and thin and lightweight but easy to use and works well. It is perfect for your tablet, laptop or anything you need more USB ports to run devices and such.

I ordered this to be used sometime in the future, but I guess it's already been given away! My son was freaking out over it because it doesn't require an external power source and asked if he could have it...so I said yes. With this price, I can always order another one. And it seems to be working out great for him! He already has three things plugged into it with no problems! This is the most USB ports that I've ever seen in an extender that didn't require an external power source. Great item!

This USB Hub works great! I replaced my old one because stuff kept freezing up and I would have to switch it off and then back on again. This one I do NOT have to do that! It seems to run all of my USB's together perfectly. I also love the switches and the blue lights that let you know it is on. Price is pretty good too. Very happy!
