This light up the top of my keyboard and in full darkness is enough to be able to type without trouble. I think it is so great for working while watching a movie at home, staying up late doing work when the wife wants to sleep, but I think the neck for it is just a little bit too short. It will be much better if it can be longer.

Pros:Light is just bright enough to be able to read with but will not disturb the others. Also it's great when repairing something at home on a darktime. Now have used it for 12 months and still working as new, an oh, I still have the original betteries in it.

Bottomline: The power switch feels cheap and the leds have no covers, but this is still a great portable light.
