Does what it says on the tin - sturdy build. HOWEVER - not suitable if wanting to secure onto a flat surface (I.e. Glidecam/Steadicam mount plate) as the unit itself is not flat on the bottom. But I like it.

This is a well made alternative to the much more expensive Manfrotto quick release, be ware that it is not totally interchangeable without slight modification.
