There is some slight flex at the wheel stem, but totally manageable with care. Otherwise this is a great focus pull.

This follow focus definitely passed any expectations that i had when i was buying it . Its really tight, solid and smooth and looks really slick also . It's all metal except for the marker ring and gear . If you are considering buying a follow focus from a big name store that costs 3 times the price , don't do it . The hard stops and the quick release are well worth the extra money . seriously ....... just buy it ! PS..... BE AWARE! that those 3 gears that are in the advertisement DO NOT come with it . False advertisement isn't acceptable in any way and I had no choice but to knock off a star for that alone , almost knocked off 2 .

This follow focus is surprisingly good for being a knock off version of some of the more reputable brands. I purchased the DP500IIS, which features an all aluminum build. Read your product description carefully, as I hear some of these are plastic. This one is sturdy and has a good feel to it. I rated this 4 out of 5 because it only came with one hard stop (instead of 2) and the whole system seemed haphazardly placed in the box and shipped, despite the custom molded interior of the box.

Really good purchase, as it allows me to use it on both manual and auto focus lenses. The two hard stops allow me to set focus pulls on manual lenses and also help with the hard stops on auto focus ones.
