Works well. Ive only used it once on a day trip to San Francisco. My hero4 stayed secured the whole time. You'll probably need some sort of swivel adapter since backpack straps tend to point outwards. I used on a messenger bag so it was centered the whole time. I tried it on my Columbia backpack which had thick padding on the straps and i had to remove both screws to install. Wish it came with longer screws but im fine with this for the price.

I love this product. It does the same thing as the other brands but cost less. Well worth it going the cheaper route.
