I put this on a monopod for quick change from tripod. All my plates fit on it.

quick delivery, verry good build quality, low price

I have a Manfrotto 055XProb tripod with 496RC2 ball head. I really like the Manfrotto quick release system as its easy to use and feels secure. However, I need to be able to use an L Plate and the Manfrotto version is expensive. I was also curious to find out, first hand, more about the Arca Swiss mechanism and these clamps and plates are really inexpensive. The Andoer clamp seems well made and comes complete with screw thread adapter and allen key. The clamp has two bubble levels, which have little value for me, and a screw knob to close the clamp on the plate. The clamp could mount directly onto my 496RC2 ball head but this is not what I want because I prefer the Manfrotto RC2 clamp. If you do want to mount it directly then you need either a boss adapter or someway to prevent the Arca Swiss clamp from rotating on the ball head as it will only be held in place by friction and the tightness of the screw. Using the screw thread adapter I can mount this Arca Swiss clamp on top of the Manfrotto 200PL plate. There's one 'gotcha' with this which can be overcome. If you mount the Arca Swiss clamp such that the screw knob is facing you (towards the back of the Manfrotto Plate) then it rubs on the Manfrotto release lever. I got around this by having the screw knob towards the front of the camera (under the lens). This has the added advantage of making the top bubble level more visible - if you need this. The Andoer plate is also reasonably well made but has one problem. The D Ring on the screw fixing is too small to get a decent grip on it, which makes it hard to tighten securely. Fortunately a 2p coin fits well in the screw slot and helps overcome the second problem - the D Ring is too lose so that as you try and fit the plate into the clamp it hangs down and prevents the plate sliding in easily, so I have removed it. All in all pretty good but I'll only use the setup when I need to use an L Plate.

Arrived today, finally.

Good seller.
