Nice small however built quality is average.

Very neat and handy multimeter with a rather irritating feature; no batteries installed or included! I received the meter tried to turn it on, nothing, I went to the manual to find out how to install the batteries, no instructions and no info on battery type. So I opened the case (no small feat); here is how to do it. Take the single screw out of the lower rear of the case. Lift gently to free the bottom of the case about 1/2 an inch. Now slip a thin edge between the top of the back cover and the main case. Pry it up and lift off. Note: its a bogger to do this. Note 2: another option is to pull up on the bottom and top at the same time pulling the low back case up about 3 inches the upper case will snap (with authority) out of the main case. Note 3: this second method might break the unit :( After the back is off, look at the low part of the circuit board and you will see a battery symbol with + and - orientation marks, below the symbol there are two slot with a 1/2" black box separating them, insert two AG13 batteries with the positive side to the right into the slots. Ok, now for the hard part, if you think pull the back off was hard get ready to try and put it back on. I got it go by placing the top back cover of the just inside the main case, so that the male lock piece is just inside the main case, you will see the small male lock bar at the very edge of the bottom of the upper edge, and I pushed down hard and it all popped back together (again with Authority) Put the screw back in the back and see if the darn things still works. If it does work then I thinh you have yourself a dandy and handy little multimeter, if not then send it back to Amazon. I hope your meter comes with batteries so you won't have to do this for a number of years. In final review the neatest thing about this meter is how it manages the leads, its great and a big problem with most meters is how to manage the leads and this meter does a great job. Note: 4 stars, I would have given 5 stars for price, design, and value, but no batteries or instructions, cost it one star. Best All, Mike T. Note: the T is not for Troglodyte I have another last name ;)

Size is excellent, clear reading... I would only like if it could come with the battery included ...

Very handy to stick in pocket when on service call or whatever rather than lugging around a full-blown meter if not really needed - love it!

Nice product. Quick ship. Very satisfied.
