I used to make my own sugar water for the hummingbirds, but I thought to myself, giving the hummingbirds pure sugar water has no added nutrition, which can't be good for the hummers. I came across this brand of nectar which INCLUDES VITAMINS & CALCIUM, so I ordered a case and it lasted the whole season. The reason I like this brand is because it does have the included vitamins and calcium which is very important for the hummingbirds that are breeding and are going to make the long trip south. It makes me feel better that the hummingbirds are building up their stamina, strength and health, so I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this product. If you order this, make sure to pop the the seal on the inside of the nozzle because if you don't, the product will be very difficult to get out of the bag it comes in. I used a CLEAN screw driver, to pop the seal and the nectar comes out great. Make sure you READ THE INSTRUCTIONS because the hummingbirds need more of the nectar mixture when they first arrive, during breeding, and when they leave for their long trip. Wish it came without the red dye, but it is an excellent product.

I have a smaller version of this ant moat, and it worked so well that I decided to get this one when I got another hummingbird feeder. It takes about two cups of water which means that it won't evaporate during several consecutive days of a heat wave, keeping ants away. Since installing this (and it's smaller cousin on a smaller feeder), I haven't had ANY problems with ants. After a while, they just give up, although it doesn't take them long to return if you neglect to fill it. The clear plastic is sturdy, and the moat comes with an S-hook to attach the moat to whatever you hang your feeder to. You'll need another hook or means of attaching the feeder to the bottom of the moat. There's a plastic loop on the bottom for a hook or wire. These work so well and without the chemical repellents of some brands that I cannot imagine using anything else. -- Debbie Lee Wesselmann

This is great for keeping the hose from crushing the plants near the hose reel. The opening is large enough for the nozzle to fit through which is a plus. It is also easy to position and move.

well i have only had them a week, so too soon to know how long they hold up, but so far i am very pleased. i bought them for my homemade febreeze, and they are the perfect size and spray very nicely, no drips. seem very sturdy too. UPDATE: 3/30/16 we use these practically every day, and almost 2 years later they are still going strong! I hate when the pumps get weak or start malfunctioning, which they usually do way too quickly, but amazingly enough, these have not at all. Planning to buy more of them soon...great product! 👍
