I use it to find my sprinkler line without a map. Since my wires are in the same trench as the pipes, I was able to find both. It works just fine. It is very sensitive and I really like this tool, very practical for a power repairer.

This tool is amazing, it has saved me thousands of dollars in diagnostics. I have a cracked hot water copper pipe under my concrete slab that is leaking, if a professional plumbing diagnostic would spend a lot of time and money, this diagnostic tool helps me identify which line is leaking and fix it quickly, but it's not suitable for no Experienced novice.

Overall a good product, great price, fast shipping, I bought this unit to track the underground 12VAC wire for an outdoor LED spotlight in one go, I found the break in the wire within about two feet, work efficiency I am very satisfied. The thing I didn't like was that it had a very cheap 9 volt battery installed, of poor quality, I replaced it with a new battery before it worked.
Works great. Would advice this.
