The one received has very bright light in the field of view, and is amazingly clear for the price. It is well built and the battery is replaceable if needed. After almost a year is still bright.

Pros:Excellent little magnifier.
High magnification with low distortion in centre of field of view.
Nice bright leds.
Glass lenses.
Cons:Minor issue: Light switch is a little awkward.
Bottomline:Very happy with it. works well for what I need it for - reading text on small Surface Mount devices.
