What I like best is the light can be angled in such a way that it does not bother others in the room but still provides plenty of light when needed at the desk. The clamp is strong enough to clip onto a desk, shelf or even a vertical support.

Ordered the biggest brightest clamp-on bed lamp I could find that was inexpensive. I wanted to be able to turn off the overhead light and make it to bed without stumbling in the dark and then read. The clamp is very strong and has not come off since I attached the lamp a couple months ago.

My computer desk is in our bedroom, if my wife is asleep or trying to go to sleep I need a light that helps me read my keyboard. This works great and is very bright, yet the light doesn't light up the room, just my desk area.
