Works but is a bit heavy for EDC. There are other product that are lighter weight. Price was a good deal. It does the job. You can use the back of a knife to use it and take off an ounce or two. Chaine is not durable.

The shipping was fast, which was great for Christmas. We haven't tried the primary function yet, however the compass doesn't work which was a little disappointing for my scout.

Cool little product if you were to keep in the car or something but for serious backpacking, the additional weight to this guy just isnt worth it. Id rather sacrifice carrying that weight for more alcohol then a heavy metal outer shell to my fire rod.

This product works. It does what it says, arrived in good condition. The reason I did not rate it higher is I have not yet used it for its purpose.

A lot bigger and heavier than I thought. Its a bit overbuilt. Great for keeping in a bag or truck but for superlight backpacking or hiking its just not practical. Flares up right away though. Good spark. The measurements are in MM so it sucks if your american.
