Great seller, great service!

I bought this and a Solo alcohol stove (I also have the Solo [wood burning] Stove). The Solo was a dollar or so more. Practically speaking, there's not a dime's worth of difference except this stove comes with a pot stand that also gives it minimal protection from wind. It heated up very quickly in a 74 degree environment, with jets out of the small holes in about a minute, using Heet (yellow bottle) as fuel. The Solo burner performed about the same. I feel this was a better buy than the Solo because of the included surround/pot stand. You get more for your money. Any container you cook with needs to be larger than 5", which is the inside diameter of the stand; otherwise, a smaller cup pr pot will slip down and snuff out the flame. Carefully screwed down tight, fuel does not leak from my unit's lid. I bought this for my bug-out bag and am very happy with it.

It burns well enough but don't leave any unused fuel in it. It will leak unless you tighten it so tight you can't open it again with out a pair of channel locks. This is no big deal unless you want to fill it for a one night hike and not carry a fuel bottle too. I like the fact I can burn regular rubbing alcohol in it if I have to and don't need any special cartridges for it. 4 stars because it leaks.

Great seller Great item Great price Lightning Fast Shipping Thanks A+++++

Basic alcohol stove. Easily fits within folded up (see cutouts) ledges so there's air gap on all sides and under the burner. Quite compact, very lightweight. Dimension is just a bit too big to fit into a metal cup (like the Nalgene bottles do). Top panel is moveable to control the flame level, or to snuff it out. Screw on lid isn't quite leak proof though.
