Excellent unit - very satisfied with the unit and very fast service.

I got this a few days ago. I use it strictly for dictating, using Dragon for transcription. In spite of the low price, I get better accuracy with this than with any other microphone I've tried. (No, I haven't bought one from Speechware yet. Maybe someday.) This works well with my Olympus voice recorder, and also with an Andrea usb sound card dongle in my laptop. Even with an adapter it didn't work in my phone (could be a power issue; could be an adapter issue) but it works fine with the phone using an OTG cable and the same Andrea dongle. About that OTG thing, though: trying to charge the phone at the same time created a lot of noise in my recording when I used an adapter plugged into wall current. No issues when charging from a battery, or when not simultaneously charging. In short, I love it. I'm buying a single-ear version from the same manufacturer to see if that works better as a portable microphone (this one doesn't really fold up). After I try that, I'll buy more of at least this one, possibly both, just in case something happens in the future. I don't want to be without this microphone if I can avoid it.

decent sound quality, sturdy and flexible tubing.

I bought this because there are times when I want to use a microphone, but don't feel like wearing headphones. It works great in that way, and for times when I *do* want to use headphones (like for voice comm during a game), I can now use any headphones I want (in other words, better ones than what come on most gaming headsets). In that sense, this works better than any gaming headset that I've used. The microphone sensitivity seems lower than my last headset, but it's not bad, and the sound quality is very good. The headband and ear hooks fit just a bit tightly, but that keeps the unit solidly in place, and it's gotten better over time, as my huge noggin has stretched it out some. Or maybe I've gotten used to it. Whatever, it doesn't bother me. Edit: One thing to mention about this unit is, the cord is very short. It was clearly made to connect to a belt pack. So if you're going to hook it to your PC, you'll probably going to need a 3.5mm extension cord. Not a big deal, but that's not really clear on the product page.

I bought this to use with my Panasonic camcorder AG-HMC40P, but it didn't work; some type of electronic mismatch. But it works great with my PC/sound (voice) recording. Excellent voice reproduction (freq. response and timbre). Sensitive to P-pops (direct blowing on mic) but the excellent boom can be positioned to keep the mic away from directly in front of mouth. It doesn't show any Sss/sibilance. Very decent rejection of background sounds ("uni-directional"), though, of course, it picks up some. Comfortable and secure. Seems to be reasonably well constructed - time will tell, but at this price, buy a dozen and you'd be ahead of game! All-in-all a great deal, and would get 5 stars if it worked with my camcorder.
