Fist things first.... these are not Sloane tuners... but then again, they aren’t 300 dollars either! I put these on a project guitar that I have been restoring, and they actually perform really well! As with any set of tuners, out of the box you will need to check all the screws for correct tightness, and run the gears through several cycles both clockwise and counterclockwise to seat the gears properly. Once they are “broken in” and all the screws are properly set, these tuners will hold tune quite well and look great! There were no defects in the set that I received and I would recommend them to anyone who is looking to change the look of their guitar or as an upgraded set or tuners for any entry level classical guitar.
