What a great deal for the money.

The pics show what the kit looked like out of the box, and what the body looked like with some of the hardware in place. You'll want to paint the body, since basswood isn't very interesting to look at when it's stained.

Very easy to assemble (even if the instructions are a bit lacking), sounds great and works perfect for a first time bass. Also you can't beat the price!

Great kit! I've made 3 of these so far and plan to keep ordering more. The neck is a chunky "U" shape at the headstock and becomes more of a "D" as you move up. There's no hole for running the ground to the bridge, so you'll need a long drill bit to reach the rear pup cavity at the right angle. On the latest kit there was a problem with the 17th fret but the other two were fine. Those two things are the only knock (-1 star) I have on quality. Other than that they've been a joy to work on. The basswood and maple are easy to do pyrography on too.

Great kit for the price point. Yeah!

  • QThe advertised picture shows the head of the neck as being squared off. When you go in to order it, the head of the neck is already shaped. Is the head of the neck squared or shaped?

    ADear, it is hard to understand you. The neck is not 100% shaped. You can see the NO.1 and NO.2 photo, it will send like that. You still need to DIY it and mount it by yourself .
