I had bought a ~$200 Earthquaker "The Warden" compressor pedal a few months ago when I was updating my setup with a new guitar and amp, and that pedal barely influenced the sound no matter how I turned the dials. I bought it because the guitarists from the band CHON use it. I ended up returning it because I couldn't justify the slight difference in sound for the price. I wanted to try another compressor but spend less money. After hemming and hawing on this ridiculously cheap one and watching YouTube reviews, I went for it. I'm actually really happy with it. I have the amount of compression turned all the way down and it's still very noticeable and sounds good to me. This is usually where I leave it, on the lower compression setting. If you crank it up, you will have a stupid amount of compression with some "noise"/buzz from the amp. Not sure why I'm so much happier with a ~$20 vs $200 compressor with my intermediate range ~$800 Ibanez guitar and ~$200 Orange amp, but my wallet isn't complaining.

True bypass, mute switch. Whether turned off or on, the volume is not affected by the pedal. The quality of the effect is very good. This pedal provides a wide range of vibrato effects and can add sweetness modulation for delays without it. Ramp control can promote internal and external effects if needed. Full CCW is disabled. Great value for money!
