It had too much of a jangling, sleigh bell sound. The bells slide back and forth on metal rods and and ring out, not only when you tap your foot down, but also when you bring it back up. Really annoying to keep a tight beat count. I wanted more of a tight, crisp bell clap. On both outsides of each set of bells, between the wood frame, I wrapped a twist tie to stop them from sliding. This also holds the bells against each other so they "clap" and stop without ringing. Easy fix and now doesn't sound like a a kids toy.

The product sounds great! It doesn't fit well on my feet, so I have to put on my shoes. My shoe size is 9.5.
