There are a few things you should know when you buy this rock stop: 1. It is adjustable, and while the strap is excellent quality the buckle is a little bit on the cheap, plastic side. We haven't had any issues yet, but I believe that is the weak point and will be where issues may arise. 2. It is very sturdy. The picture doesn't do it justice. It is heavy and perfect for both a beginner or advanced. 3. A rock stop that connects to a chair is something a beginner needs for sure. It makes it that much easier when learning when you don't have to fight a slipping cello. I highly recommend this stop if you are looking for one. Also if your child is just starting this is an excellent tool to assist them.
