QHow old can start playing this instrument?
AUp to 10 years old.
QIs this instrument in diatonic or chromatic?
AIt is in diatonic.
This was the first Kalimba I owned and I chose it among the many out there because of its unique style and attractive pale yellow wood color. I was fortunate that the heart emblem in front did not have any cracks or broken pieces, but I could see how some of the smaller wood pieces might do so in transit so I'd be careful with handling it, and probably wouldn't travel with it unless you had a hardbody case to store it in. Like most Kalimbas, the higher note tines aren't as resonant but they do the job. Overall, it gives a decent sound with good volume as a resonant box type. I received the product mostly as described but I was missing the side screw hooks where the chain connects, even thought there were holes in the wood part where they're supposed to be. It was a simple fix but I had to order my own pack of like 100 screw hooks of which I only needed 2, and install them. But anyway, I subtracted a star for this reason.
