This is incredible! I finally found the sound I was looking for. Great ground pedal, I've only used low gain settings so far. I do not think there's any reason to try another one. This is the sound I've been looking for.

An excellent "soft overload" pedal! I compared it with the MXR Sugar Drive (another, and more expensive, clone of Klon) and I only noticed a small difference: the volume control of the Golden Horse must be a bit higher than the volume control of the Sugar Drive. The volume Only! Otherwise, they sound the same in the same configuration. Except for the difference in volume that I just mentioned, I tried to hear the difference and I could not.

I played a true Klon. This Klone gave me the same warm and fuzzy feeling. This is a very musical album. It has many nice sounds in it. I like it a lot, so I just ordered a silver version.

Sounds great, and has a nice fit and finish. Knobs operate smoothly, and the paint looks fantastic! Smooth and flavorful overdrive, without coloring the sound too much, and allows for pushing the front end of the amp into overdrive, or, as a nice gain boost for an already overdriven channel!

You won't find a better price for what appears to be a faithful clone of the legendary Klon Centaur, including Ge diodes and +18V / -9V power converter. Unit is quiet and sounds great, but don't expect it be exactly like a vintage Centaur. It is a nice low-gain "soft" overdrive. Tiny & rugged case. Blue LED is blindingly bright. Power connector is well placed, out of the way of the audio jacks. Recommended for the budget-challenged guitarist.
