i got this for a DI for a tour. i actually like the preamping. even if you set it flat, it adds that cabinet emulation. unfortunately, it does not have a dry out on the preamp side like so many other DI box pedals, but that is the only complaint i have. the drive is mellow, if you crank it, it goes into distortion. the bass boost is mild, the harmonic control is a presence knob, and really helps dial the high end crispness where you want it. small, light, bright blue LED, hard metal switch. I had the mxr m80 and i think i like the drive on this better, it's more clean bass drive than distortion. i may post a follow up after the tour if anything changes. this pedal costs half as much as it's competitors.
