My husband is music inclined. Our 4 year old is learning by sound also and loves to play around with the accordion. If you follow some Utube videos, it is even more fun.

Seems pretty durable... great accordion introduction; the keyboard one will be easier I would imagine... button style is classic. Sounds Italianish and fun to play.

My 6 year old has been wanting an accordian. So we finally got her this. She loves the fact that it came in purple. It fits her size quite well and his a terrific little first accordian.

Its a little tight out of the box. An adult needs to open it and exercise it a little before giving it to the child.
Good luck getting it away from the child once they have it.
