Put it on my boat after a recent powerhead rebuild in order to start the clock at zero. It works, but I note two significant problems related to mounting: 1. The mounting does not use nuts and brackets. It uses a slide-on plastic clamping mechanism. It limits usable panel depth (see below), limits clamping force, and creates a non-replaceable failure point (you can buy a whole new unit to get one -- if it's still available when yours breaks). 2. Although the panel thickness where I was mounting it was only 1/4" thick King Starboard, I had to take off the little rubber sleeves at the ends of the mounting bracket to make it fit. If your panel thickness is more than 1/4", forget using this. That rules out its use on many fiberglass boats which have gauges mounted directly into fiberglass dashboards.
