Started to burst into flames while on in car and driving on first use! Found short in fuse!

One of LED does not work after one week.

No instructions came with this item. It is a gift so I will have to see if it works.

I purchased these in April. Its now November and 3 out of the 4 light pods are flickering. They worked great at first but 6 months later they start getting dim and turning off and stuff. If you get these, don't plan on keeping them long.

For the price, hard to beat, they have their good points, and their bad points... Good... So the brightness is just about right for mood lighting under the dash. Everything is there that you need to get started. I didn't use the double back tape, but with the mounting tabs that are on each light, I either tywrapped them to something, or wedged them inbetween something. The light module rotates in it's little mounting bracket, so you can aim the light, if your mounting spot isn't perfect. Not so bad.... Another light I have is a deeper blue than these, these have a bit of a white aspect to them, but not bad, and more so if you don't have truer blue led to compare them too you wont notice it. A pain... The lead wire from the lighter plug is too short, and for my jeep the wire between the two modules is too short to make it to the back seat. So I had to extend the wires, since I was doing that, hardwired them to a switched 12v source. The wire is super thin gauge and seems lower quality of maybe the CCA crap. But don't need much for these LEDS , current is soo low. And you wouldn't know till your trying to extend and solder these leads,,, annoying when trying to make a splice with 20awg wire and solder them. Ooopps I ordered 2 sets, one set the 2nd light module didn't work. opened it up, cold solder joint of the wire to the pcb pad, and broke off the pad, so re-soldered and all is ok. Again, see my comment above, the wire isn't the easiest to properly solder, and the main reason for this cold joint that let the wire with it's solder ball come off the pad. FYI... The way these are made you could string another set off of the last one in the first string, for 4 total in one string. Just have to snap off the cap on the last one, drill a hole, pass the wire thru, solder the second set onto the lands in the last one of the first set, slap it back together. With how small of gauge of wire, I wouldn't string more than a 2nd set on the first set. (watch polarities).
