I got this to work on my steering wheel which is over 1" thick but had to bend it hard into place. It cuts into your steering wheel, so once it is on it needs to remain. It was a little difficult to install because it does not bend easy, but I finally got it installed and it works well.

I installed this o my 4x4 and never regretted it . It gave me a mucn more comfortable driving experience . It felt solid and sturdy .
