I did receive this XLR cable in exchange for a review but no hyperbole here. This is a very decent cable and works just fine. It is not, however, a very heavy duty cable so care needs to be taken if you are using cables all the time as I need to do. The plastic is certainly strong enough for lighting functions but I would hesitate to designate it as an every day cable that constantly needs to be plugged in and out each day. The shielding certainly is appropriate for lighting use and if you are going to leave it plugged in for a long time, that is the way to go with this. Hope this brief review has been of some help.
