I installed these lights on my bunk, they are very cool! I set it up and the mode control button is right next to my bedside table, so I can turn it off while I sleep. The light is very bright! They definitely work for backlit TV or computer monitor configurations. You can choose the mode of the light very well, my only wish is that the button is more tactile (you have to click, there is not much reaction), but this is a very small detail. If you want to control the LED strips from other devices, you can disconnect them from the button connector. I'm not sure if there is a way to tie other LED strips together, because if you want to decorate everything around the bed, the length of 1 meter is not very long.
