I use this charger to charge my batteries for my syma x8c. Great purchase, glad that I did a bit of research on this prior to buying it. There is even an alarm to alert you when the charging is full to prevent over charge.

100% authentic, it came with the hologram and the scratch on code, verified on skyrc website. As for the function, I am no expert but it is charging and balancing the battery. Do note there is no Power supply included, there are many options for that, but be certain to have something that can at least provide the 5A it requires to charge else you will be chagrin at lower rate which mean more time waiting.
