This is a toy-grade copter, to be sure. It's also a lot of fun. I like the geared motors -- they're quiet and it runs a long time on a very tiny battery. For all of that, it's fairly quick it's faster than the Hubsan X4 H105/7 except when the hubsan is in "flip mode" (extreme expert mode) when it pitches pretty radically. It is pretty stable too. I don't use the guards. I have only had mine for a few months, but I was using it to teach other people to fly indoor. One student crashed it hard enough (with the guard on) to bend a propeller shaft, and while I've flown it anyway it has never been the same. I So, I've gotten 25.00 of fun out of it easily -- I have had much more fun for much more time than had I spent it on some other frivolous pleasure. I'll probably replace it when the weather turns foul and I can't fly bigger quads outside.

Miles ahead of the x5. Flies a little more erratically but overall a better quad

Good for the price. Takes a little learning time.

Overall this is a perfect little Mini Quad to get started with! You get a Xbox looking controller which is surprisingly accurate! Average flight time is about 6-12 Min, and that depends how your flying it, if your being aggressive/throttling it and constantly doing flips it will last around 6 min minimum, but if you're just hovering around here and there it will easily last you 9-12 Min. Everything about it is spot on, hovers nicely, very stable and accurate. One thing found extremely useful is the bright Blue and Red LED's on the body of the quad which can be seen in a very bright sunny day, even more so at night when you most need them. Also the quad comes with two settings, what i'd call a beginner and an advanced setting. The beginner has slower speeds and slower movement mainly due to the reduced sensitivity of the joysticks, advanced setting is best suited for advanced users as the speeds are too fast for your average beginner. I've had this little quad for about a month and this did it for me, now i plan on building a racing quad. Pro's: - Lightweight - Fast - Good Controller - Accurate - Stable - Comes with spare props - Comes with Prop Guard (With other Quads you would have to pay extra for this) Con's: - When doing flips the quad copter loses an altitude of about 1-2 feet when completing a flip. - Spare batteries are only sold by a handful of websites (DO NOT BUY FROM EBAY) Purchase them from a dedicated RC Website, this will avoid you the headache when it burns out your motors or main board due to the poor quality of your eBay spares. A con because the websites who do sell the batteries sell them around $5-$8 each. - Controller throttle could be a bit more accurate, i find myself constantly adjusting it to get the perfect hover without acceding or descending to rapidly but for under $30 you cant beat this quad

I am really discouraged by this model's slow yaw rate. If you are an advanced type, there are other controller options to get better yaw control, but not the controller included with this RTF (ready to fly) product. That's how my review differs from others, a not often mention weakness. I could list all the positives repeated in so many reviews, but I won't. It flies nicely and its stable, good beginner quad. OK for indoor flying. Its lighting makes it OK for watching from below when flying in dark conditions (LEDs shine well downwards). I prefer the NiHui U207 for indoor flying. Blades are more brittle than average, so spares are needed, especially if flown without the prop guard. The prop guard does not protect from obstructions above. That it, it will scrub popcorn off ceilings ;-) And the guard doesn't protect blades from hitting hard when landing upside down. Flying without the guard, however, produces much more responsiveness, esp. with moving air (breeze, light wind). It can't do well in stronger moving air (winds).
