Product as Described...Thank You...

So a couple of things that need to be said about this quadcopter. First, its great for beginners and intermediate flyers. It starts out in a mode that won't let you do anything crazy and has a limited speed. It auto-hovers, which is nice but folks learning to fly should learn on something else before coming to his quad, auto-hover gives a false sense of security. Another thing is the instructions needs some serious QA/QC. While I'm familiar with quads, the Chinese to English translation is horrid and you can easily see misspelled words and poor grammar. In an age where translations are easy and cheap, this shouldn't be a problem, especially from a company like Syma. Other things to note is that there are three different modes. One as noted is beginner mode, an intermediate mode that lets you fly in a controlled yet less restricted environment. Basically this mode lets you turn, fly faster, and learn the controls a bit better. The final mode lets you perform flips and other tricks but you need to know how to handle a quad. If not, you will dump it and probably break it since the quad itself is very light plastic. The camera on the quad isn't bad but nothing ground breaking. This is to be expected. Assembling the legs and blade guards are a complete pain in the butt with the screwdriver supplied. Do yourself a favor, use a longer screwdriver in your home that is small enough to fit the screws. You need torque and the little screwdriver they give you will strip the screw heads. Outside of that, you get about 5-7 minutes of flight time on one battery. Removing said battery is a pain at first as it is wedged in the quad. If you are hovering and doing low speed maneuvers, you can expect maximum flight time. The lights begin to blink when the battery is low, letting you know when to land. It also has over-voltage protection and a few other nice additions. Overall, the quad is extremely stable, flys well, is quiet, and small enough to take with you without needing a massive case to lug around like some of my other quads. The 2.4 Ghz controller is cheap looking but gets the job done and doesn't seem to have any issues with the sticks like some other quads. Other things to note, you don't have to attach the camera, power up and flight is easy, it is extremely easy to see what direction the quad is facing from a distance, and the propellers are not cheap like some other models out there. I would say this is a good buy for a second quad after you have learned the basics. Its also a good quad for someone that wants a mid-size flyer. Make sure you buy more batteries and get a micro SD card.

Great beginer quadcopter. Easy to fly camera is decent for price. Handles a light wind but is hard to control in 10mph or more. I took one star away because one of wires that connect from the control board to the battery, came loose from its connector plug. I was able to fix it.

It's a great quadcopter just don't do the buy both with the extra batteries and charger because the batteries are not for X5HC but the X5C (different size and plug)

This isn't the best drone money can buy in the market. I you are expecting HD video (let alone 4K) you are looking at the wrong price point. This is a basic starting drone with a good controller. Practicing with this can teach you how to fly a drone without all the extra features the higher end have to offer. Its like learning to drive a manual before driving an automatic. Its difficult but if you can master this all the other drones will feel a breeze to fly. That doesn't mean it does not have some hidden goodies. Pros: 1. Has a built in gyro which keeps it stable in the air 2. Has a camera that takes photos and videos. 3. Has two speeds that can be switched with a press of a button. 4. You can fine tune it left/right and front/back. 5. The LEDs that differentiate from front to back are bright enough to be visible at night. 6. Many fuction like high hold mode and headless mode, make flight funny. 7. Comes with extra set of propellers, micro sd card reader, micro sd card, battery charger, propeller guards and a screw driver to put them on. 8. Spare parts and spare batteries are cheap. 9. You can do tricks like somersault just for fun. 10. It is under 250g so you do not have to register it. So as you can see this has a lot going for it. Now for some Cons. 1. It is very light so even in moderate winds its not stable. 2. The camera is fixed and not on a Gimbal that can be controlled. (But hey how much can you get for $50) 3. The build feels very cheap and plasticy. All in all i would highly recommend it to anyone in the market to buy their first drone and perfect their flying skills.
