Most of my house is in some form of automation. Sadly, the one area I can't connect to is my remote control fan. Switchbot fully met my needs, allowing me to use virtual device switches to integrate them into my Smartthings devices and connect them with Swicthbot on IFTTT.

I like these things... they are great... I just need to say "Alexa, open my battle station" and they will turn my gaming computer on or off! Love them. I have to install the Switchbot hub under my desk. It has infrared function, but I only use it to control the switch... The only problem I have is that the buttons on my computer are too concave and the switch cannot easily push them. So I glued the small rubber feet of other products I bought. After adding rubber feet, my sailing became clear and smooth! These things won't even disconnect the Wifi connection... My experience Lifx bulbs and light strips must be constantly reconnected, but these won't. I definitely recommend these. Remember, you must let the hub control them through voice commands. My use is well worth the low cost...great price! Get them now! Ha ha!

So far so good. Received yesterday, initial setup may take 5 minutes. Connect to Alexa. I hope I can use a manual program to control DirecTV channel changes. The program can enter a three-digit channel number... Not so good. However, I easily programmed 9 quick tuning channels to change to these channels by asking Alexa to "turn on the boomerang." I can turn on/off the Honeywell silent fan, surround sound, TV, etc... As long as you don't mind setting up the scene to run most of the commands, this thing is pretty cool.

I live in a house with several electric doors controlling my driveway. I have to use a garage door opener remote to open the door, unless I spend thousands of dollars to upgrade my system...at least that was before Switchbot. I bought three robots with the hub, used a little zip and carefully placed the robots, and configured everything to my Alexa system. Now I can easily voice control any of the three doors. Compared with replacing the gate control box to allow applications to access the gate, all costs are reduced by more than 90%.

It's very simple and intuitive, and it applies to all the devices in our house. We connect it with a few switches, it's very simple! Just make sure you have a power source for the USB connection to plug it into the wall. In general, any smart home must!
