Just received the stove. Assembly was easy, parts fit very well. I placed an oven heat protector under it, and after taking a few minutes to find some twigs and feed them into the stove, I started a fire and made a breakfast of eggs and potatoes. I am amazed at how well the stove works. Almost no smoke, and plenty of heat. It takes a while to cool down by itself. If I were camping, I would want to douse all embers until they were out, and cool the stove. Leaning the stove is easier if you use soap on the blackened parts before firing it up.

I wanted to switch from my jet boil stove to a firebox stove for many years. After seeing this stove and it's reviews, I thought I'd give it a try since it's only 1/4 the price of the firebox stove. This stove really rocks , it burns wood extremely efficiently and when using an alcohol stove , it provides sufficient wind relief for a functional stove. This stove is solid and I expect many years of service from it while still being light enough for backpacking . I can't imagine anyone outside the hard-core lightweight crew to find a flaw with the stove, buy it you'll like it..

I waited until I used this a few times before writing this, and of course, life happened, and I'm just now getting to this. I have to say that I am quite impressed with this little stove and wished that I had had one years ago. The build seems quite durable, yet light and easy to pack. I have to say that I have been impressed with the heat this generates off of just twigs and such laying on the ground. All in all, it gets up to temperature to boil water a lot quicker than laying stuff out, gathering limbs and building a fire as I had done on little outings or carrying a fuel stove--and goodness the price of fuel! Very pleased with this!

This little stove is awesome. Grab a bunch of dry twigs and small branches, get the stove lit, KEEP IT FED, and you're off to a hot cup of coffee or a hot meal in a few minutes.

light, easy to put together, use no fuel just small pieces of wood. easy to contain the fire. perfect for bikers
