This is a really spectacular light. The center light is very bright, I live on a farm and there's really no outside lighting. It can be very frustrating trying to find animals that are stuck or injured in the middle of the night. Having a light that can shine as far as this one can is immensely helpful. The twin outside lights are very bright too, and cover a wider range. On first look you just press the power button once and the center light goes on, press again and it turns off, press again the outside lights go on and again for off. However that's just the tip of the lights available to you. If you press the power button for a few seconds you get a brighter center beam, if you turn that off and long press the power button again then you get the red/night vision beam. It's not night vision exactly, it's a beam of light that allows you to see without ruining your night vision. It's very handy when you're out in the dark and you are working with multiple people and you don't want to ruin other people's night vision. One thing that is nice about the red lights is once you've put it in "night vision" you can turn the lights off and on and it stays in night vision. You have to do a long press again to get it out of night vision mode. It uses a standard micro USB charger to recharge the batteries which is great because you probably have quite a few of them already. The instructions tell you how much time you should get off one charge for each light setting, It seems to be pretty accurate. It charges quickly, and the headband is very comfortable. Overall an excellent bright headlight that has a lot of helpful features. I received a discount on this product for testing and reviewing purposes and this is my honest and unbiased opinion.
