Got this wannabe of a more expensive lamp and it's just okay. If you buy a good mantle for it you will have a decent lamp but I suggest buying the better lamp to start with. If this one is all you can afford, then it will work for you but by all means by the good quality mantles and be prepared for frustration lighting it the first time. After that you should be mostly ok. One of those get what you pay for things. We have one of the better ones as well as this one so I know what I'm talking about.

Took some tweeking, but after figuring it out it worked fine. Nice that it came in a 2 pack, though I only used one.
